Anonymus tin globe with zodiak, 1930 Diameter: 15 cm Total height: 25 cm. Age: approx. 1930 Description: Transfer painted steel orb. Unsigned, with oceans finished in gray. Attributed to The Ohio Art Co., Bryan, Ohio. Hollow pressed tin full ring meridian raised on an octagonal pressed tin base that is finished in red and yellow with the zodiac periods, the months, the seasons and equinoxes. Airline distances show routes of the Lindbergh N.Y. to Paris 1927 flight and the Graf Zeppelin World Flight of 1929. The countries are coloured and outlined, major rivers, cities etc are shown. The equator graduated in degrees and the ecliptic is graduated. Some small dents but rare and in very fine condition. Cartouche: not present SOLD |
