A pair of electric globes, 1925

Diam. 32 cm,  total height 50 cm. Approx. 1925. This is a very nice pair of electric globes from Columbus. These are probably one of the first electric globes made. The globes are in excellent condition for its age. The globes are from about 1925. The electric wiring is still the original one. In the foot of the globes is a beautiful compass. Both globes are made of glass which is mounted on a beautiful turned wooden foot.  The upper half of the wooden foot turns separately from the lower part. In this way the globe can be viewed from all sides.
