A pair of electric glass globes of approximately 1950.

Diam. 32 cm,  total height 50 cm. Approx. 1950.The terrestrial globe has the Duo function. This is invented by the Columbus company to celebrate the companies fiftieth birthday: With the light switched off you see the political boundaries and with the light switched on you see the physical details. On the celestial globe the stars are shown in five degrees of magnitude with the constellations shown with lines. Also the Milky way is shown as can be seen on the pictures. Both globes are made of glass.
